Is there a generic investing template?
There is no blueprint for every investor. If only it were so simple! The traditional model is to invest in riskier, small companies when the investor is young, moving into more stable, large companies as they age. However, the best investing strategies can't be put into a box like this. More things to consider are the time horizon, what's happening in the markets, and risk tolerance. A good investment advisor will get to know you and help you take advantage of certain conditions outside of the typically advised model. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with your advisor, with their plan, and that you don't buy into anything blindly.
